Albemarle Police have identified the man struck and killed early Saturday while he was walking on 250 East on Pantops. The victim was 38-year-old Steven Sorel, who has no fixed address in this area. It happened just before 3 a.m. Saturday near Rolkin Road, which is just west of State Farm Boulevard. County Police are still working on exactly what happened.
