CHARLOTTESVILLE (WINA) – The Paramount Theater this (Thursday) morning formally introduced it’s new executive director Julie Montross. She comes to Charlottesville from Alexandria where she was the Senior Vice President of Business Development with the Club Management Association of America. But she says theater is her first love, and Paramount Board Chair Carolyn Rainey said they chose Montross because of her business acumen.
Montross honors the foundation predecessor Chris Eure built.
“Our dedication to community engagement will continue to be a priority because it is through partnership and collaborations that we continue to honor this incredible Charlottesville treasure”, Montross said.
“And impact the lives of so many people… and not only those people in this city, but our neighbors near and far, as well.”
Although she’s lately all business, Montross studied dance and theater since age 2 and toured internationally as a performer on more than 100 stages in 80 countries… and taught dance for 13-years before retiring in 2010 from performing and teaching.
