Onetime ABC Employee Admits Felony Theft

A former ABC employee has pleaded guilty to stealing more than $239,000 in funds intended for educational programs to combat underage drinking. Steve Hammond Jr. faces a maximum of ten years in prison. The 29-year-old Richmonder will be sentenced for one count of theft from a program receiving federal funds. Hammond is scheduled to be sentenced in mid-January.
