New Owner For Charlottesville Parking Center


A new owner for the Charlottesville Parking Center. Mark Brown has struck a $13.8 million dollar deal approved by shareholders last week and finalized Tuesday. Brown also owns the Main Street Arena and the building that has downtown restaurants The Whiskey Jar and Brookville. He also owns Yellow Cab of Charlottesville. Brown will control both the Water Street and Market Street parking garages along with the surface lot next to the City Market. Brown says he hopes to keep the market two blocks long. He says he doesn’t expect any increase in the cost of parking.
