(PALMYRA- WINA) The Fluvanna County Sheriff’s Office has released additional information on this week’s murder at Lake Monticello. Deputies were summoned shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday on a disturbance call to a house on Axle Tree Road. They found 37-year-old Charlottesville resident Benjamin J. Camp, 44-year-old Joshua C. Bentham-Ball and 36-year-old Jason J. Farren — both of Palmyra — inside. Farren had multiple gunshots wounds, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Although Camp is from Charlottesville, it’s believed he was staying at the house. The other two did not live in the home. Camp is facing a second-degree murder charge and Bentham-Ball was arrested for burglary.
Other than the fact deputies responded to a disturbance call, the sheriff’s office is not releasing any further details on the incident. They say the men were known to each other, and there is no threat to the public. Camp and Bentham-Ball are being held without bond at the Central Virginia Regional Jail pending a Monday court appearance.
