Murder In Culpeper

One man is dead and another is being held without bond on a first-degree murder charge in Culpeper. Police responded to a 911 call around 3 a.m. Monday and found a man lying unconscious in a home near West Evans Street and North Main Street in the town of Culpeper. The 38-year-old victim was pronounced dead from multiple stab wounds. Officers found 48-year-old Humberto Flores De Luna in the downtown area about four hours later. Captain Chris Settle with Culpeper Police says De Luna and the victim lived together in the past. Settle says the suspect possibly had some type of relationship with the victim’s sister. The investigation continues with no identification of the victim released yet until authorities can inform the next of kin.
