Many mourn former Delegate Peter Way


(CHARLOTTESVILLE – WINA)  Many area residents are mourning former Delegate Peter Way, who died Saturday at the age of 82.   Way served on the Albemarle School Board in the 1970’s and then spent most of the 1980’s as the Scottsville Supervisor.

He joined the General Assembly after narrowly winning a House of Delegates seat as a Republican in 1991.   Way was an Episcopal clergyman, whose flock lived in southern parts of Albemarle.
