Five people have been arrested and are being held without bond after deputies from the Madison County Sheriff’s Office and the Blue Ridge Narcotics/Gang Task Force responded to a suspicious person call in Burnt Tree subdivision. A strong odor of marijuana led to a search warrant and the seizure of 1200 tablets of heroin, along with ecstasy and other narcotics now at a DEA Lab for analysis. Sheriff Erik Weaver says the  house is also home to a four-year-old and a 16-year-old who are in the care of their grandparents.  Their mother, 36-year-old Corey Denise Williams, is one of the suspects. The other people who are now in custody include 19-year-old Michael Eady, 20-year-old Najee Matteux, and 26-year-old Kyle Wesley Murray. All of them are from Orange County. 23-year-old Anissa Rose is from Montclair, New Jersey. All have been charged with one count of possession with intent to distribute a Schedule II Narcotics – Heroin and will be in court on Thursday. Weaver calls this the largest drug bust in Madison County history and the largest he’s seen during his 27-year career.
