A Louisa County woman has pleaded guilty in the death of her child. 32-year-old Tristan T. Goodwin (pictured) could face up to 20 years in prison when she’s sentenced in May. Goodwin pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and felony child neglect in the death of her six-month-old child. The infant died nearly one year ago. An autopsy determined the cause of death was a large amount of Benadryl in the baby’s system. Louisa Commonwealth’s Attorney Rusty McGuire says Goodwin admitted giving Benadryl to the child.
