Leah Puryear Appointed to the Charlottesville City Council

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA-WINA, The Charlottesville City Council has appointed former Charlottesville City School Board member Leah Puryear to the vacancy left by the resignation of Sena Magill on January 11th.  There were 20 candidates and six finalists, that included two former City Council members in Kathy Galvin and Kristin Szakos.  Puryear spent 15 years on the school board and has been in the Charlottesville community for 41 years.  She currently works as an administrator at UVA.  Puryear begins her term on Monday, February 27th.
