Guilty on all counts:
That was Wednesday’s verdict in Roanoke Federal Court, where all six defendants in the Kevin Quick murder trial found guilty.
In all, there were 34 counts, including murder for Kweli Uhuru and Albemarle siblings Daniel Mathis, Shantai Shelton and Mersadies Shelton.
Halisi Uhuru and Anthony Stokes were found guilty of racketeering.
All six are members of the 99 Goon Syndikate, a gang affiliated with the Bloods.
Waynesboro Police Reserve Captain Kevin Quick was kidnapped in the parking lot of his girlfriend’s apartment on January 31, 2014.
He had gone there to check on his girlfriend and the couple’s daughter before getting ready for the surprise birthday party he’d put together for his brother the next day.
The 45-year-old was found dead from a gunshot wound to the head in Goochland County after a week-long massive search.
The case had to be moved to Roanoke after a mistrial was declared in Charlottesville. That after one of the defendants was able to obtain a copy of the potential juror list, which included personal information.
