A Virginia tradition that began in 1929 will spring back to life later ths week. Historic Garden Week will include several homes in southern Albemarle County. Spokeswoman Melinda Frierson says there will be a special emphasis on farm estates, such as Redlands and Bellair. Those were around in Thomas Jefferson’s lifetime. This year’s tickets cost $35 if you buy them in advance. You can find Garden Week schedules and tickets at several locations. The list includes the New Dominion Book Shop on the Downtown Mall, and the Virginia Shop in the Barracks Road Shopping Center. Frierson was a guest on the Morning News with Rick and Jane.
