(STANARDSVILLE – WINA)   Greene voters have elected a new prosecutor, and they simultaneously gave the boot to an eight year veteran of their board of supervisors.  Republican Matt Hardin won Tuesday’s countywide special election for Commonwealth’s Attorney.  Hardin defeated Independent Andrew Wilder, and gets to finish the final two years of a term that expires in 2019.

Voters in Greene’s Midway District also rejected the re-election bid of Jim Frydl, who became a supervisor after the 2009 elections.  Marie Durrer, who recently retired as Greene’s Clerk of Circuit Court, will succeed Frydl in January.
