(UNIVERSITY OF VIRGINIA – WINA)   The lawn rooms include some of the oldest structures at the University of Virginia, but they also have a new feature that’s very 21st-century.  UVA has a designated gender-neutral bathroom in the West Lawn area.

Up until now, that facility was only used by men. Dean of Students Allen Groves says this new arrangement is a way for a transgender individual to feel safe and respected.
