Fenwick Advocates Repair, Not Replacement, For Belmont Bridge

Photo: WINA

He’s always thought the Belmont Bridge can be repaired – not totally rebuilt. That’s the view of city councilor Bob Fenwick. He was told that repairing it would cost as much as a new one, but he does not accept that. Fenwick (pictured) says building a new Belmont Bridge would be a traffic nightmare. He also believes there are other problem bridges in Charlottesville. He cites the bridge that connects the Meadowbrook Heights neighborhood with Dairy Road as an example. Fenwick was a guest on the Morning News With Rick and Jane.
