David Watkins Gets 30-Year Prison Sentence

A onetime scoutmaster from Albemarle County will spend three decades behind bars for sexually abusing boys in their early and mid-teens. 50-year-old David Brian Watkins (pictured) of Keswick was sentenced Friday in Albemarle Circuit Court. Watkins was facing a total of 36 charges, and Circuit Judge Cheryl Higgins sentenced him to serve an active sentence of 30 years. Watkins was arrested in late November 2012 after a onetime Boy Scout accused him of sexually abusing him.
