Bryant defeats Estes; wins the Democrats’ nod for Albemarle Sheriff

(CHARLOTTESVILLE- WINA)    Chan Bryant has won the Democrats’ nomination for Sheriff of Albemarle County.   Bryant defeated her rival for the party’s nod, onetime University of Virginia football player Patrick Estes, during a countywide primary on Tuesday.

Bryant’s next opponent is Ronnie Roberts, a Charlottesville native who’s campaigning as an Independent.   Whover gets elected on November 5th will succeed Chip Harding, who’s retiring after three terms.
