NELLYSFORD (WINA) – Family-owned Bold Rock Cidery is selling to a large craft brewery company. The Nelson County cider is the number-2 brand in the nation… and they incorporating into Charlotte-based Artisanal Brewing Ventures — or ABV.
Bold Rock founders John Washburn and Brian Shanks says their 200 job operation will stay as is. They gain a sales team and distribution network of an ABV company that already has three other brands — Sixpoint Brewery, Southern Tier Brewing Company and Victory Brewing Company — in its portfolio.
ABV says the partnership signals the move for them to continue to extend beyond craft beer and meet the needs of the changing adult beverage consumer
