Authorities have arrested the man wanted in the Sunday murder of Denzel O. Morton, but the Charlottesville Police Department is releasing little further information.
Morton was found around 3 a.m. Sunday, July 17, in a parking lot on Earhart Street.
He was suffering from a gunshot wound and taken to the University of Virginia Medical Center, where the 23-year-old later died from his injury.
Police later identified Isaiah James Franklin as a suspect.
Today, the department announced that the 23-year-old suspect had been arrested and is in the custody of U.S. Marshalls, with work to extradite him back to Virginia underway.

On today’s date, Isaiah James Franklin was taken in to custody by the US Marshalls on our outstanding warrants. We are currently working on the extradition process to bring Franklin back to Virginia. Due to the on-going investigation this is all the information that we can release at this time.
