Local Groups Help Anderson Street Fire Victims

Photo: WINA

Two local groups are helping a Charlottesville family that lost nearly all of their possessions in last week’s house fire on Anderson Street. Virginia Organizing and City of Promise are going to bat for Ruth Buschmann, her boyfriend and her four children. They are accepting cash donations and checks made out to Virginia Organizing with a notation for the City of Promise Fire Fund. You can also donate clothing and school supplies at First Baptist Church at the corner of Seventh and West Main Street.
