Albemarle Property Value Up Slightly

A slight increase in the value of Albemarle County property. County officials say that’s because the real estate market has improved. The bad news is a possible higher tax payment. County spokeswoman Lee Catlin says assessments were up an average of about 1.3%. The biggest increases in value, on average, were in the Jack Jouett and Rivanna Districts. Scottsville and White Hall had the smallest.
