(CHARLOTTESVILLE – WINA) Albemarle Commonwealth’s Attorney Robert Tracci has listed his major campaign goals for top Republicans during the GOP’s monthly breakfast. His bid for a second term is being challenged by Democrat James Hingeley, who used to oversee the public defender’s office and served one term on the Charlottesville School Board.
Tracci expects to be outspent between now and the November 5th general election. He also notes Hingeley self-identifies as a progressive candidate. Tracci won the prosecutor’s office in 2015 by upsetting two-term Democratic incumbent Denise Lunsford.
