(RICHMOND – WINA)    A middle school football team in the Richmond suburbs has forfeited what’s left of its season after players were caught creating a racially insensitive video.  WWBT- Channel 12 in Richmond reports the video shows football players simulating sex acts involving African-American classmates.   The video appeared on Snapchat, a phone-based social media app.

The Richmond Times-Dispatch reports the team at Short Pump Middle School in Henrico County had three games left in its season.   The students will continue to meet for practice and participate in mandatory discussions over racial intolerance, ethics and accountability.
