2nd Arrest In Alston Murder

October 18 Charlottesville Police Department News Release:

On today’s date, the Charlottesville Police Department arrested Pierre Gerard Augustine, age 26, in connection to the murder of Floyd Randolph Alston, Jr. age 31. Alston was killed in his home on South First Street on November 21, 2015. Augustine is charged with the following felonies:

– 1st degree Murder while in the Commission of an Attempted Robbery (18.2-32)
– 1st degree Murder while in the Commission of a Burglary (18.2-32)
– Burglary while armed with a Deadly Weapon (18.2-89)
– Attempted Robbery (18.2-58/18.2-26)

Augustine is being held without bond at the Albemarle Charlottesville Regional Jail. He is scheduled to appear in the Charlottesville Circuit Court on October 19, 2016 at 1:00 PM.

This is the second arrest related to this homicide. Jordan Jerome Eaddy was arrested in May and is currently awaiting trial.
