(CHARLOTTESVILLE – WINA)   Crews finished removing debris Saturday at the Rivanna River Bridge, and Proffit Road is now open.  VDOT deployed heavy equipment to get rid of trees, limbs, brush and other debris that had washed against the bridge.

The debris removal project was designed to reduce the risk of flooding in that portion of Albemarle County.
