Remembering Domestic Violence Victims

Local advocates for battered women have honored 76 victims of domestic violence. The names of the victims who have died since 1979 (pictured) appeared Monday on the Freedom of Speech Wall near City Hall.

The Shelter for Help in Emergency also held a candlelight vigil at Jackson Park. One name on the wall is the late Yeardley Love, who was beaten to death in 2010 by her ex-boyfriend George Huguely.
