Here’s a hands-on way to help kids right here in our area.

Project Linus of Culpeper is kicking off the year by making blankets for children in crisis, and they want the community to be part of it.

The blanket-making day takes place on January 24th, running from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Rhoadesville Baptist Church.

You don’t have to be a master sewer to join in. You can sew quilts, make no-sew fleece blankets, help tie quilts, or bring your knitting or crocheting project and work alongside others. Sewing kits will be available, and if you sew, you’re encouraged to bring your machine and basic supplies.

There’s plenty to do even if you don’t sew, and everyone is welcome ages 12 and up.

They’re also hosting a potluck lunch, so bring a dish to share if you can, along with canned goods for the church.
