    Fluvanna Free Swap

January 24, 2026 - January 25, 2026 - All Day at Lake Monticello Volunteer Fire Dept & Rescue Squad Maple Room
    10 Slice Road

Head to Fluvanna on Saturday, January 24th from 9am to 7pm and Sunday, the 25th from noon to 4 for an event built entirely on generosity and good vibes: the Fluvanna Free Swap.

This one happens in the Maple Room, right next to the Lake Monticello Fire Department. And the idea is beautifully simple — bring anything you no longer need and take anything that is useful to you. No money, no haggling. It’s a clean, community-powered exchange meant to keep good items circulating instead of piling up in closets or landfills.

Everything at the Free Swap is truly free… but there is one important request: no early birds. Let the volunteers finish setting up so everyone gets a fair shot once the doors open.

And for this swap only, there’s a special drop-off window. If you’ve got items ready to contribute, you can drop them off January 23rd from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Lake Monticello Rescue Squad on Slice Road. That’s the only drop-off location for the 23rd — please do not leave items at the Maple Room that day.

The organizers kindly ask you to leave TVs, car seats, helmets, and mattresses at home. If you need tips on getting rid of them the right way, the event page is happy to help.
