The Wild & Scenic Film Festival is back in Charlottesville!
The Living Earth School is pleased to bring this collection of short films that inspire social and environmental action on behalf of our planet and people to the Violet Crown Charlottesville, right on the downtown mall on Wednesday, November 16th.
This year’s films are from the Representation Matters series and center the voices of those who are often not seen or heard in the environmental and wilderness communities. Be inspired by fresh perspectives that spark creativity and build community.
This is Living Earth School’s first fundraiser, and all proceeds will go towards supporting programs to provide access to people from low-income and historically excluded families.
Over the last 20 years, the Living Earth School has mentored thousands of kids and adults from Central Virginia on their journeys to deepen their connections with nature and with others. Now as a non-profit, they are better able to include people who couldn’t ordinarily access programs due to financial and other barriers and give more people the opportunity to experience deep belonging and have a lot of fun in the great outdoors while they’re at it!
Tickets are $25.00 for the live showing at the Violet Crown, or for in-demand home viewing the same week.
More information is available on the Living Earth Website at www.livingearthva.org.
