Join the “NEXT BiG THING” weekend on February 20–21, 2026, a signature **fundraiser for The Center for Nonprofit Excellence and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Virginia.

It all kicks off Friday night, February 20th at 6:30, with The Next Big Thing Chalet Soirée and Live Auction at the Albemarle Campus Club. Picture après-ski vibes meeting chalet elegance — cocktail attire, artfully crafted drinks, elegant dining, and mountain-chic charm — all in support of creating brighter futures for local kids and teens. It’s a night to toast, connect, and give back, one sparkling glass at a time.

Then on Saturday, February 21st, the focus shifts to fun and friendly competition. First up, the Alpine Slam Squash Tournament at the Albemarle Campus Club. Since opening in 2023, the Boys & Girls Club youth squash program has introduced more than 500 members to the game. Club athletes will take the court alongside local players, showcasing the mission in motion.

Also on Saturday is the Summit Smash Pickleball Tournament at cvilleSMASH, Charlottesville’s premier indoor pickleball courts. Whether you’re a beginner, a seasoned pro, or somewhere in between, you’re invited to serve it up for a great cause with high-energy play, community spirit, and plenty of fun.
