We are Scott’s Corner, the family & friends of Scotty Tedford who was diagnosed with ALS in December 2023 at the young age of 52.

ALS is a progressive disease in which a person’s brain
loses connection with the muscles, slowly taking away
their ability to walk, talk, eat, and eventually breathe.

Although there is still no cure or treatment that halts
progression, new treatments are helping to slow
and ease symptoms.

We are hosting the Scotty’s Sunday FUNDZ-day Benefit on June 9th at The Lazy Parrot Backyard BBQ in Charlottesville.
We are looking for Sponsors as well as donations to make the benefit a success and raise much-needed funds for Scotty Tedford and family for monthly bills, incoming medical bills, necessary home modifications, etc.
Join us at Scotty’s Sunday FUNDZ-day benefit for Scott Tedford at The Lazy Parrott Grill in Charlottesville on June 9 at 1pm. The event includes a Tossing Away ALS Cornhole Tournament, BINGO, raffles, food, beer, prizes and music by DJ Keith Jones of Movin’ Music!!!
Scott & his wife, Rebecca, have three teenage kids at home as well as an adult son in Charlottesville. Scott is no longer able to work & Rebecca is working multiple jobs to keep the bills paid. Medical bills have been rolling in for months, & the cost of medication & other equipment needed for daily support is extensive. The family is also needing to convert their garage to a main level bedroom/bathroom that will accommodate the mobility equipment that Scott will need for his care in the future.
Sponsorship donations can be made to Scotty’s Sunday FUNDZ-Day GoFundMe account or call/text Ellen Shifflett @ 434-251-4541 to arrange pick-up for checks or gift item donations.
