Mark your calendar for Friday, May 8th, from 5 to 9 PM, because a community fundraiser is happening at Rob & Debbie’s Shop on Well Water Road… all to support Robbie and his boys after they lost their home in a fire.
Now, while that kind of loss is unimaginable… what’s happening next is something powerful.
This isn’t just a fundraiser—it’s a night built on gratitude, resilience, and a community wrapping its arms around a family that needs it right now.
There’s going to be incredible food—smoked meats and sides prepared by Ricky and Casey Jamerson, pizza from Pino’s Italian Grill & Pizzeria in Dillwyn, and appetizers and extras donated by friends and neighbors. The Buckingham Breakfast Club is helping provide all the essentials, so folks can just show up, eat, and be together.
You’ll also have music from DJ Bob Huddleston, games for both kids and adults, and a raffle packed with some amazing prizes—like a spa package from Silver Lining Day Spa and a beauty bundle from Mary Kay… with even more items still being added.
And every single dollar raised is going directly to Robbie, Bo, and Luke to help with immediate housing and essential needs while they work through the next steps.
Now, if you can’t make it out that night but still want to help, there’s a way to do that too. You can make a tax-deductible donation payable to Sharon Baptist Church… just be sure to put “for Robbie Maxey” on the memo line. And you can mail that to 822 Well Water Road in Scottsville.
But just as important as the fundraising… this night is about something bigger. It’s about celebrating that they’re safe… and showing what happens when a Central Virginia community rallies together with compassion, faith, and support.
So whether you’re able to donate, bring a friend, or just show up and be part of it… you’re invited.
Friday, May 8th, 5 to 9 PM, at 822 Well Water Road in Scottsville.
