Looking for something fun, local, and perfect for the whole family? I’ve got a great one for you.

Mark your calendar for Rivanna RiverFest, happening Saturday, May 9th from 2:30 to 9:00 PM at the Rivanna River Company.

This event is put together by the Rivanna Conservation Alliance along with community partners, and it’s all about celebrating one of our favorite natural gems right here in Charlottesville — the Rivanna River.

RiverFest is a full afternoon and evening of family-friendly fun for all ages. We’re talking live music and performances, hands-on activities, river recreation, plus plenty of food and drinks to keep you fueled while you enjoy the day.

Whether you want to get out on the water, kick back and listen to some great live entertainment, or just spend time outdoors with friends and family, this is one of those events that really captures what spring and summer in Central Virginia are all about.

And it’s not just about having a good time — it’s also about raising awareness and supporting efforts to protect and preserve the Rivanna River for generations to come.

So, bring the kids, grab your friends, and plan to spend the day by the water for Rivanna RiverFest, Saturday, May 9th from 2:30 to 9:00 PM at the Rivanna River Company.
