If you’re looking for something fun, family-friendly, and full of local talent, this is one you’ll want to put on the calendar.
The MCYC Annual Cheer Showcase is coming up Saturday, March 7th, at Wetsel Middle School, and this year’s theme is “A Timeless Takeover: A Journey Through the Eras.”
That means the squads are taking you from the 1970s through the 2020s with high-energy routines, big music, and performances that show off months of hard work.
Doors open at 4 o’clock, and they recommend getting there early for the best seats, because this showcase features every MCYC cheer squad, including Blue Xtreme, Pom Squad, Diamond Dazzlers, Mini Stars, and the Madison County High School JV and Varsity Cheer teams.
And it’s not just about the cheerleaders. There’s something for the whole family, including the always-popular Dads Free Throw Challenge, where dads get a chance to step onto the court and show off their skills… or at least their confidence.
There will also be concessions available throughout the night, so you can grab snacks and drinks while you enjoy the show, plus a special presentation of the Jackson Thrive Spirit Award, recognizing outstanding spirit and dedication within the program.
This event is all about celebrating community, teamwork, and school pride, and supporting the young athletes who put in the time, effort, and heart to make nights like this happen.
So, bring the family, invite some friends, and come out to cheer on the MCYC squads as they take the floor and shine at the Annual Cheer Showcase, March 7th at Wetsel Middle School.
