If you’re ready to experience something colorful, energetic, and full of heart right here in Charlottesville… this is one you’re going to want to mark down.

Coming up Saturday, May 2nd, IX Art Park transforms into a celebration of culture, community, and connection with the Inaugural Charlottesville Filipino Spring Festival.

It all runs from 3 to 8 PM, and the best part? It’s completely free and family-friendly.

This event is hosted by the Charlottesville Filipino Cultural Association, and it’s all about celebrating the richness of Filipino culture—from the flavors… to the music… to the movement.

Picture this… you walk into IX Art Park and you’re immediately surrounded by the smell of incredible Filipino cuisine—savory, sweet, and everything in between. You’ve got local food vendors serving up dishes that might be new to you… or feel like home if you already know and love them.

Then there’s the music and dance—live performances throughout the afternoon and evening featuring both traditional and contemporary Filipino styles. We’re talking vibrant costumes, rhythmic movement, and that kind of energy you don’t just watch… you feel.

And it doesn’t stop there.

There’s also a festive marketplace filled with local artists, crafters, retail vendors, and nonprofit organizations—so you can shop, explore, and connect with the community while you’re there.

At its core, this festival is about celebrating and uplifting the Filipino American community right here in Central Virginia—sharing traditions, stories, and culture in a way that brings people together.

So grab your friends, bring the family, and make an afternoon of it.

The Charlottesville Filipino Spring Festival—Saturday, May 2nd, 3 to 8 PM at IX Art Park.
