BrickHammer Hobbies, located at 154 East Davis Street, is doing something special for the community. Even though they’re normally closed on Mondays, they’re opening their doors Monday, January 19th, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., for a one-day give-back event — and it’s all for a great cause.
On that day, 20 percent of all in-store sales will be donated directly to Habitat for Humanity of Culpeper County.
Now here’s why that matters. Habitat for Humanity helps first-time homebuyers in Culpeper and Culpeper County achieve homeownership when a traditional mortgage just isn’t possible. They also provide critical home repairs for neighbors in need — things like roof repairs, HVAC fixes, handicap ramps, security fencing, hot water heaters, and other essential, sometimes emergency, home improvements.
And while you’re there, BrickHammer Hobbies is making it a full day of fun. Their LEGO play area will be open for creative play, the board game library is ready for your next adventure, and the tables are set for gaming, building, or just hanging out with fellow Homefries.
So if you’re looking for something fun to do — and a way to give back at the same time — head to BrickHammer Hobbies on January 19th, shop local, play a little, and help build stronger homes right here in our community.
