The Charlottesville Tom Sox are hosting their Annual Texas Hold’Em Charity Poker Tournament Fundraiser on Saturday, March 28th from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Charlottesville Elks Lodge Number 389 on Elks Drive.

This Texas Hold’Em tournament is open to players of all experience levels, whether you’re a seasoned card shark or just looking for a fun night out for a great cause. The buy-in is $100 per person, and every player will receive a Tom Sox hat, two single-game tickets for the upcoming season, and of course a seat at the table to compete for some great prizes.

And there are plenty of reasons to bring your best poker face.

The first-place prize package is valued at $875, second place is $675, and third place takes home a package valued at $595. Prizes will also be awarded to the top three, top ten, and even the top twenty finishers, so there are lots of chances to walk away a winner.

Your buy-in also includes dinner and bottled water, and sodas and alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase at the lodge. Just remember, the bar will be cash only. Players will also have the option for rebuys and add-ons, so you can stay in the action and keep the cards flying throughout the evening.

Since launching in 2015, the Tom Sox have built an incredible legacy, winning seven South Division titles and four Valley League championships, while bringing some of the best collegiate baseball players from across the country to Central Virginia each summer. Many of those players even stay with local host families, creating strong connections between the team and the Charlottesville community.

But the Tom Sox are about more than just baseball. The organization focuses on player development, community engagement, excellence, and passionhelping shape young athletes into leaders while giving fans and families an exciting summer experience at the ballpark.

So, if you’re ready to test your poker skills and support a great local organization, mark your calendar for the Tom Sox Annual Poker Tournament Fundraiser, Saturday, March 28th from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Charlottesville Elks Lodge Number 389.
