Albemarle Ciderworks is hosting a pet parade to benefit “Caring for Creatures” at their Annual Cider Blossom Festival, held on April 19th, 2025, between 1pm and 5pm in North Garden, Virginia.
Join us as we celebrate nature, native creatures and our purrfect pets!
We are fully embracing the spring feeling with family activities, plants, pets and local critters!
We welcome some of nature’s favorite people the Rockfish Wildlife Sanctuary, Hummingbird Hill Native Plant Nursery, Wild Space, Blooms4good, two wonderful adoption agencies The Cat Action Team & The FSPCA along with the Mill Creek Veterinary Clinic, promoting practices to keep your companions healthy and happy.
You will find lots of activities on the lawn and in the Orchard room with our lineup of family friendly attractions, including a Wine glass painting Workshop, live music with Melissa Hansen and Cart rides with Reinbow Miniature Horses!
Already have your four-legged companion? Bring them in costume and enter them in our Pet Fashion Parade!
Don’t have a costume? We will have pet friendly vendors selling all types of adornments to get your pet looking great.
The parade is $10 to enter, and all proceeds benefit Caring for Creatures. Click HERE to enter yourself into the competition.
Our Local food vendor Rum Punch will be serving authentic Jamaican cuisine.
FREE EVENT – NO tickets required for entry. There will be for-purchase activities and experiences within the festival. Please ensure you have your pet on a leash at all times during the festival.
About Albemarle Ciderworks and Vintage Virginia Apples: Vintage Virginia Apples (VVA) was founded in 2000 by the Shelton family to grow and promote rare and heirloom apple varieties. Still a family-owned operation, VVA launched Albemarle CiderWorks in 2009, producing award-winning ciders inspired by over 250 estate and locally grown varieties. Visitors are welcome at the North Garden tasting room which offers cider tastings, tours, apples, and a stunning location for private and public events.
