The Jefferson Area Motor Squad is proud to host the 9th annual Jefferson Area Motor Squad Skills Training Seminar June 1st-3rd, 2023 in the Sam’s Club of Charlottesville parking lot.

The Jefferson Area Motor Squad Skills Training Seminar is a way for motor officers to improve their riding skills, exchange new training ideas and improve or create inter-agency relationships.

Each year, J.A.M.S. hosts a police motorcycle competition to raise money for a local charitable organization. This year we have decided to incorporate a 5K run along with our annual motorcycle competition to raise money for the Making Everything Good organization.

Celebrate Memorial Day by participating in a Run, Jog, or Walk with the Jefferson Area Motor Squad (J.A.M.S.). The Jefferson Area Motor Squad consists of the Police Motorcycle Units for Albemarle County, City of Charlottesville, and the University of Virginia Police Departments. Each year, J.A.M.S. hosts a police motorcycle competition to raise money for a local charitable organization. This year we have decided to incorporate a 5K run along with our annual motorcycle competition to raise money for the Making Everything Good organization.

In 2018, Making Everything Good (M.E.G.) was created with the mission to assist and support the needs of individuals, families, and organizations associated with public safety, military, veterans, and the local community. The Jefferson Area Motor Squad has partnered with M.E.G. to support its mission. The proceeds of this race will assist M.E.G. in helping those who help others.
