97-5 3WV is proud to, once again, be a drop off point for the Minutemen MC’s efforts for Toy Lift. You can drop a new, unwrapped toy at our studios at 1140 Rose Hill Drive in Charlottesville weekdays.
Or maybe you’d like to ride with the Minutemen MC as they deliver all their toys! 🧸
Meet at Riverside Lunch North in the Forest Lakes Shopping Center at 11:00am for registration. Ride Out is at noon to deliver the toys to Toy Lift headquarters at Fashion Square Mall.
Registration for the ride is $10 per rider plus a toy. All donations go to the Toy Lift Charlottesville.
Toy Lift began in 1988 when founder Tom Powell decided to perch himself eighty feet up in a bucket truck at the corner of Hydraulic Rd. & 29. He stayed there until people donated 1,000 toys, which he then distributed to local children. Since then, Toy Lift has grown into a huge annual community event with food, entertainment, and media coverage, raising over 20,000 toys each year.
