Mark your calendars for the second-annual Ride to Defeat ALS – Blue Ridge, a
cycling event that boasts four beautiful routes including a 100k, 50k, 25k, and a family-friendly 10k.
The event will take place on Saturday, May 13, 2023, with check-in beginning at 7:00am. Cyclists will begin and end the Ride at Pro Re Nata Brewery in Crozet.
All proceeds from this event benefit The ALS Association. An after-party will follow the Ride with food, live music, awards, and more.
The ALS Association is the nation’s only organization fighting ALS on every front through research, advocacy, and care services. Commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects a person’s ability to walk, move, talk, and eventually – breathe. ALS is a fatal disease with an average life expectancy of 2-5 years after diagnosis. The ALS Association has a bold goal to make ALS a livable condition by the year 2030 – until a cure can be found.
