  • Albemarle County:
Independence Day Weekend Celebration @ Boars Head

We’re serving up an extra dose of “fun for the fourth” while we celebrate Independence Day weekend during our ongoing Summer Celebration Series.

Bring the entire family on Sunday, starting at 3pm, for an Independence Day Party with Yard Games, a Bar and More! We will have food trucks serving food including, It’s Poppin’ Time, Raclette on the Run, Popito’s and Farmacy!  Plus, a spikeball tournament, cornhole tournament, pie eating contest, and more! Click here to email Kevin and register!

From 6-9pm, Jam to live music from Koda & Marie of Chamomile & Whiskey and Friends, followed by an electrifying display of fireworks that will illuminate the sky!

Celebrate America’s 246th birthday with the best seat in town for viewing local Fourth of July fireworks shows!

Advance tickets are required for every guest. $20 for adults (16+) and $10 for children (15 & under).

⭐ LIVE MUSIC: Dance to jams by Local Vocals from 6–8:45 PM

⭐ FOOD: In addition to food trucks (5:30–9 PM) from Vision BBQ, Two Brothers Southwestern Grill, and Sweet Jane’s Kitchen, we’ll have ice cream, apple cider donuts, and other sweet snacks

⭐ DRINKS: Adult beverages, including patriotic wine slushies, available in the Carter Mountain Wine Shop and Bold Rock Tap Room

⭐ FACE PAINTING: Whimsical face painting by The Glitter Bee from 5:30–9 PM

⭐ COTTON CANDY: Fairy Floss Cotton Candy from 6–9 PM

Event admission begins at 5:30 PM and gates close at 7 PM. Bring lawn chairs and blankets, or come early for a picnic table on our terrace or decks.

July 4th @ Monticello

2022 Independence Day Celebration and Naturalization Ceremony

There’s no better place to celebrate Independence Day than Monticello. Join us as we mark the 246th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence and welcome more than 50 new American citizens at our 60th annual Independence Day Celebration and Naturalization Ceremony.

This year’s event will also include:

Music from the Charlottesville Band and Charlottesville Opera.

After the ceremony, enjoy free root beer floats and kid’s activities on the West Lawn.

Ceremony starts at 9:00 a.m.

Parking will be available at Piedmont Virginia Community College and shuttles to Monticello will run throughout the morning. Registration for timed shuttles coming soon!

  • Greene County:

Red, White, Blue ‘n Greene 4th of July Celebration!

The holiday fun will begin on Monday, July 4th at 10 AM with a parade down Main Street in Stanardsville. The rest of the event will take place later in the evening between 6 and 10 PM at Morris Field in Ruckersville—across Route 33 from Ruckersville Elementary School. This is the same location that the event was held last year. Event gates will open at 5 PM. Visitors are strongly encouraged to car pool and to allow time for travel.

  • Orange County:
9th Annual “Playin’ in the Park” Independence Celebration

The “Playin’ in the Park” Independence Celebration will be held Friday, July 1st at Booster Park in Orange County! Admission is free.

Freewill donations will be accepted by OCHS Football for parking services.

Gates open at 6:00 p.m.

Enjoy live music, a Touch-A-Truck, and food vendors during this family friendly eventFireworks will take place at dark. You are welcome and encouraged to bring picnics, blankets, and lawn chairs. Alcohol is prohibited. Pets must be on-leash at all times. Parking is limited, please arrive early.

Bold Rock 4th of July

This year, we’re celebrating the red, white, and blue with red, white, and BREWS!

Join us in the taproom on Saturday, July 2nd as we celebrate Independence Day Weekend with our 4th of July Celebration, a day full of celebrating some of the things that make our country great (especially the drinks!)

We will have Red, White, & Blue slushies, a gourmet hot dog menu, décor all around the taproom, live music, and games all day long!

We will also have SPECIAL color-changing Bold Rock-branded cups that will be given to each guest!

The menu will include Hot Dogs, Pork BBQ, Chicken Tenders, French Fries, Ice Cream, Funnel Cakes, Pork Rinds, Donuts, Kettle Corn and more.

Farm Restaurant Lodge Dinner Menu
A generous buffet dinner will be served at the Farm Restaurant in the Lodge from 5 PM – 8:30 PM ~ reservations required.

All You Can Eat Buffet, Children ages 6-14 are half price, Children 5 & under are free.
