Jon Bon Jovi’s son Jesse has made the roster at college football powerhouse Notre Dame for the upcoming season.

Jesse Bongiovi will suit up as a cornerback when the Fighting Irish take on Temple University this weekend.

Team coach Brian Kelly says, “Jesse has earned his spot on the 105. He’s a tough kid. The kids really like him. They respect him. They don’t look at him as a rock star’s son. They look at him as a kid that loves Notre Dame and wants to play football and help this team.”

And Kelly admits he’s a big fan of the teenager’s rock star dad: “He’s a great guy. He’s a grounded guy.”

Bongiovi isn’t the only music star’s son currently playing in college football’s top flight – Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ kid Justin made his debut for UCLA last season.
