The wife of the Republican nominee for the U.S. Senate represented her husband’s campaign during a Sunday afternoon stop in Albemarle County. Cathy Gillespie told a GOP women’s group her husband Ed would be a big improvement over freshman Senator Mark Warner (D-Alexandria). She says her husband is committed to replacing what she calls Obamacare with something that works and he wants genuine educational reform. Ed Gillespie, Mark Warner, and Libertarian Robert Sarvis are competing for votes in the November 4th Senate election. Gillespie and Warner will square off in their first debate on July 26th at the Greenbrier Resort.
