The trial of Bob and Maureen McDonnell resumes Monday and it’s possible this will be the last day with Jonnie Williams on the witness stand. Williams is the star witness for the prosecution, and the defense attorneys for former governor Bob McDonnell (pictured right) are expected to ask him some tough questions. They could focus on Williams’ admission last week that he lied in January 2013 to State Police investigators and FBI agents. Lawyers who represent former First Lady Maureen McDonnell (pictured left) interrogated Williams late last week. The trial is one week old, and might still be going on after Labor Day.
