VMI, Feds Reach Agreement On Hostile Environment Complaints

VMI and the Obama administration have an agreement to eliminate what Uncle Sam calls a sexually hostile environment for women at the nation’s oldest state-owned military school. The U.S. Department of Education says the Lexington school did not act promptly to resolve complaints of sexual harassment and assault. VMI officials have agreed to do yearly assessments of the climate for cadets, faculty and staff members on the issue of sexual harassment and sexual assault.
