There’s been a major development in the case of Kevin Wayne Quick of Nelson County. The missing man’s vehicle has been recovered after it was spotted in Louisa County. Quick is a 45-year-old Waynesboro police reserve captain (picture courtesy of Waynesboro Police Department) who was reported missing on Saturday after he left his mother’s Afton home the night before and then failed to show up at a friend’s house in the Turtle Creek apartment complex off Hydraulic Road. Quick’s SUV was actually spotted before on surveillence photos in Fork Union and Manassas. State Police say there’s a focus now on an unidentified man who might be associated with this case. The FBI has also joined the investigation. A $7000 reward is being offered by local businesses for information leading to Quick. Anyone with information, including the ID of the man in the surveillance photos, is asked to call the State Police tip line at 434-352-7128.
