UVA’s Invasion Of First-Years Has Begun

To borrow a line from the movie Poltergeist, “They’re here.” Recent high school grads who were born in 1995 and 1996 are filling up the University of Virginia dorms. The annual invasion of the first-year students is a signal to many long-time local residents that the summer is drawing to a close. President Teresa Sullivan and Dean of Students Allen Groves have also toured the Alderman and McCormick Road areas to greet new students and parents. Both will speak to the newest Wahoos Sunday night near the Rotunda.

Both Knox and Sutherland are 27. No wedding date had been set.
