UPDATE: Carjacking On Dickerson Road – Vehicle Recovered In Northern Albemarle

A vehicle that was taken at gunpoint early Thursday was recovered later in the day in northern Albemarle. County Police say there was an armed carjacking Thursday morning on Dickerson Road. County Police say a suspect stole the car at gunpoint, and a woman and her two children were able to get out. Nobody was injured. The stolen car was recovered before 2 p.m. at an undisclosed lcoation in northern Albemarle. The suspect is described as a white male in his 30s with a long fake beard, and he was wearing a black shirt, black cargo pants, a bandana and sunglasses at the time. It happened shortly after 9:30 a.m. in the 4700-block of Dickerson Road, which is north of the airport and near the North Fork Rivanna River
