Two Orange County residents died Friday after their car rear-ended a truck hauling a trailer on Route 29 near Culpeper. Sergeant Les Tyler of the State Police says 24-year-old Emily Nicole Hess died on the way to a hospital following the collision. Tyler says 46-year-old Linda Kay Sweetster, who was a front seat passenger, died at the scene. Both victims were from the Rhoadesville community in Orange County. Two people in the back seat, 34-year-old Dallas Christopher Young and a 10-month-old infant, were transported by air to the UVA Medical Center. Tyler says no one in the 2000 Toyota was using a seatbelt, and the young girl was not properly secured in a baby seat.
